Broken (This)

ebook young adult college student erotic review

Gabby's life has been anything but easy. She is surrounded by friends who seem to have everything she doesn't: money, social standing, and happily married parents. While dealing with the loss of her mother, she experiences her first heartbreak. She commits herself to her studies and runs away from any emotions that aren't safe. Bradley Banks, a confident CEO and commercial architect, who has long time commitment issues forces Gabby to feel again, but will he be her next heartbreak?

**********

This book goes from past to present tense. This is so you will know why Gabby is so "Broken". There were some paragraphs that were in the males (there are 2 important males in this book) POV but I didn't realize it so I had to reread the paragraph to make sure what was going on. It's heart breaking what happened to Gabby and part of her heart breaking story has yet to come out. I was sort of annoyed on how Gabby consistently said that things would not work out between her and Bradley before they even started. It's a short read at 170 pages. There are no Hot Sex scenes but lots of sexual tension.
The ending was good but left you needing more, much more.
Good thing there's a second book called Mending.

Quotes:

"She had more baggage than baggage claim at the airport and she didn't need to feel these feelings."

"With every touch, every kiss, every word, I give a piece of myself and to have someone take, take, take and then just walk away makes me feel like a piece of garbage that can be tossed out when.....when I'm all used up."

"Anything work having is never simple or easy, Gabby."
