Love Left Behind

ebook movie star erotica review

It's not everyday that you get to move to New York City and reinvent yourself. I was tired of being boring, predictable Emma Mills. I was convinced that my life would be totally different in the Big Apple.

And I was right.

Jackson Reynard was irresistible and I had no plans on resisting him. Jackson was the epitome of tall, dark and handsome and I was more than happy to let him sweep me off my feet. I expected a summer fling but instead I got a heart-stopping romance. I realized that I had met the love of my life. I just didn't realize that sometimes love isn't enough.

It's hard enough getting over an ex. It's even harder when he becomes Hollywood's next biggest heartthrob and his face is plastered on every magazine cover. But the hardest part? The hardest part is when he thrusts himself back into my life and won't let go of the past.

I survived losing the man I loved the first time. I don't think I'll survive it again.

I didn't know if I was getting sick or if it was the book but I had to take Pepto because my stomach was a mess and actually it didn't stop hurting until I was at the end of the book so beware it's an intense roller coaster of a book! There seems to be a lot going on with Emma's guilt for her past and the Love of her future but she needed to settle her demons I could totally see where she was coming from during time but it was so heart wrenching. Oh and then to go thru the second half of the book with this unresolved event it was enough to drive me crazy and my stomach crazy too. All I wanted was for Jackson and Emma to figure it out and stay together but every time I thought finally NOPE!!
You will have to read it to find out if they ever do get their HEA.
Fabulous Ending. Lots of Hot Steamy Sex!!!

Quotes:

"I know it sounds crazy but the though of you engaged to someone else....
it doesn't make me feel good."

"There's nothing wrong with being sensible but dreams are what make you fly. And you're destined to touch the sky."

"You and me, Emma. It's you and me against the world. There'll never be anyone else for me."

"Emma Mills, I love you. You're my heart and my life, and I can't image breathing one breath without you by my side."

Captivated By You

2nd Stop on the Blog Tour!
There's an Interview with Diane Alberts & a Giveaway of a ebook copy of Captivated By You!

ebook movie star erotica review

When Hollywood heartthrob Mark Delaney heads home to Colorado against his agent’s wishes, a snowstorm touches down (no doubt conjured up as punishment from said agent) that lands his Maserati in a ditch. Stranded, he knocks on the door of the first house he sees—the same house that his former math tutor grew up in. Expecting to find an elderly couple donned in robes and hair curlers, he’s knocked off his feet when an all-grown up Lacey Robertson answers.

Lacey opens the door to find a Prada-clad, most eligible bachelor two years in a row staring back at her. She tries to push twinges of her teen crush from her mind. Mark Delaney is all man. But she couldn't possibly compare to the gorgeous starlets he must be used to. And Lacey isn't about to become one of the faceless women begging for his attention.

But when she finds out that he hasn't stopped thinking about her, despite his A-list life, will she fall into his arms for a single night of pleasure? Or will she dare to hope for more?

This is a hot short story- it doesn't give you the page #'s
but I finished it on the treadmill in an hour.

I was Captivated but the story line.
It was kind of heart breaking that they spent so much time apart not realizing they were meant to be together. Well it's not that easy as Lacey is a small town school teacher and Mark is all Hollywood so Mark will need to do a lot of convincing to make Lacey see that what they have is something worth fighting for. Just a little sex nothing  raunchy or over the top.
Ending is good and there is more that could be told
or not either way I was happy with it.

Interview with Diane Alberts

  • • What inspires you to write?

I’ve always been in love with reading. I love seeing the story unfold, and love falling in love with characters. When I sit down to write, I aim to make the reader get immersed in a tale of love for a few hours, or days, depending on the length.

That’s my inspiration. To give someone an escape for however long they need it. Reading is about escaping the real life pressures—and getting lost in someone else’s. At least, that’s what it is to me.

  • • When you end a book do you like a Totally happily every after or just enough loose ends that you could write another book?

It depends! If they used to know one another, like in Captivated By You, then I tend to go for the happily-ever-after ending where they profess their love. If they didn’t, and the book progresses slowly, I’ll go for the happy-for-now, without the white wedding and the fancy words.

But I rarely ever leave room for loose plot strands. I generally only write one book per couple, so I tend to close things up with that couple nicely. Each book seems to want something else from me, and I’m always willing to listen. That’s one of the best parts about being a writer.

  • • How do you feel about Epilogues?

LOVE them! I use them as much as I can, if the story fits well. Once again, it’s one of those things that depends on the storyline, but I’m a huge fan of giving the reader a flash-forward of what the character’s life is like after the ending.

When I do an epilogue, it’s almost always my favorite part of the book. Hands down.

  • • On average how long does it take you to write a book?

Oh, that one varies. It depends on how long the book is, and how easily it comes out. My latest book, Captivated By You, didn’t fight me much. It’s also a short novella, perfect for a night’s reading after a long, hectic holiday day, and I’d say it took me about a week to finish the first draft.

Mark and Lacey wanted their story told!
