~REVIEW~

It's heart breaking to read how much Kadence struggles with being a mother. It's just as heart breaking reading how helpless Nix is when it comes to fixing his wife. It's a long stressful road for these two to get back to where they were but Kadence eventually comes back to herself. Now Nix just has to get over his fear. One hot sex scene. Fantastic ending.

“I don’t know what you want from me,” I whisper. Communication was never this hard. The distance growing further between us as each day passes makes me afraid that this is what we’ve become.“I just want to bring you happiness, baby,” he sighs, but before I can tell him I don’t think he can, Harlow’s cries come through the monitor. I move off the bed to go to her, knowing she will need to be fed. “You walk out of this room, Kadence, you walk out on me.” His cold tone stops me from moving any further. It’s the same tone he used in the bathroom. “Leave her,” he commands, but the thought of continuing this conversation, where we tear each other down, has me fighting him. “Nix, I have to check on her.” I continue to the door.too. I’m your fuckin’ husband. Do you hear me? We are important.” His hand sweeps across his nightstand, causing one big crash that sends everything tumbling to the floor. I’m frozen in place, my hand resting on the door handle. The room is silent. The shock of what has gone on tonight so raw I don’t think either of us knows how to process it.

“I don’t know what you want from me,” I repeat, closin“Don’t you dare leave this fuckin’ room. I’m important g my eyes when Harlow’s cries grow louder, sending my anxiety rising. Doesn’t he know he’s only making it worse?me fuckin’ side. I can’t continue to stay in this place we are in. I’m drowning here, Kadence. We both are, and I just don’t know if I can keep treading water for both of us. You have to help me, baby. You have to want us to survive.” He falls to the bed, his head dropping to his hands. Seeing him like this, in this state makes me realize that our situation is bigger than me, than him. It’s bigger than either one of us realize.

“That’s not fair.” I release the handle and turn, collapsing against the wall. The wind knocks out of me as his w“Jesus, I don’t know. Give me a look, smile at me…fuckin’ touch me. Give me a connection that says we’re on the saords resonate within me. We are drowning and I have to stop fighting. At this realization, my knees become weak. Standing becomes too hard. I slide down the wall, dropping my ass to the carpet.

“Life isn’t fair, Kadence. I wish it was, but it just isn’t. Look where we both have come from; look where life has taken us. We won’t survive if you won’t talk to me, Kadence. Talk to someone.” He stands to come to me, but having him in my space only makes things worse.

“Please don’t.” I draw in a breath, defeated. His frustration and concerns only prove what a bad mother I’ve been, what a bad wife I’ve become. tening, as she resettles herself, but that doesn’t stop me from wanting out of this room.“I know who you are, Kadence. You’re the woman I love. The most amazin’ mother to our daughter, our son.” Saying Z is my son pulls at me harder. The fact that he, too, is affected by what is happening hurts even more. Ni “Don’t what, Kadence? Don’t make me walk away. I want my wife back. I don’t know what’s happened, but I don’t like who you’ve become.” His voice is pained, as broken as my soul feels. His confession doesn’t surprise me, but it still burns. I know I don’t like who I’ve become. How do I expect Nix to like me?“You don’t think I ask myself that question every day? That I don’t look at myself and ask what is wrong with me? I don’t know who I’ve become, Nix. All I know is I should. I should know who I am.” My head thuds against the wall in defeat. I can’t keep going on like this. I can hear Harlow’s cries quiex walks over and squats to my level, careful not to get into my space, but close enough for me to reach out and touch him if I wanted to. “Why don’t I know that? I should know that Nix.” “You don’t have to know. I know, the kids know and that’s enough.”“It’s not enough for me.” My hand itches to touch him, to feel his hardness under my fingers, but sitting broken on the floor of our bedroom, I know I can’t. I can’t touch the man who means everything to me and I hate myself for it. “When did you stop trustin’ yourself?” “I don’t know. When did I stop being myself?” I counter, and my admission halts him for a moment. He crawls forward, coming closer into my space. His warmth, his calming presence wraps itself all over me. hat he has us. But the truth is, I’ve drowned in so much self-doubt and uneasiness, that trust seems so far away.“The first step is askin’ for help, baby. Let me help you. You don’t have to be alone. Let me learn to breathe the ugliness you see. Let me share the darkness, Kadence. Just don’t push me away.” His pleading pulls at me, pulls at the hatred that has settled inside.

“I’m not doing good, Nix,” I say, looking up and giving him what he needs. What I need. “Somewhere along the way, I woke completely lost and overwhelmed. And every day, it gets harder and harder to deal.” A sob tears from deep within me, and walls I’ve been hiding behind crumble down.

“I know, baby.” He pulls me into the hardness of his chest. “We’re gonna be okay,” he promises, and everything in me wants to believe him. Everything in me wants to trust he has me.

I love how it this book brings two series together!

Brandon & Grayson want to lay it the line for the women they love. They have to come clean, but neither of them wants to because their afraid meg & Katie will leave them. Just when I thought I had their secrets figured out I learn I was totally wrong. This book kept me on my toes wanting to hear all their dirt and to hope those gorgeous men get they're happily ever after. Some hot juicy sex.

Holy Moly what an emotional ride! I had to put the book down sometimes because I just needed a break. These two are their own worst enemies - they hide their feelings from each other and it ends up causing more problems. Damian acts before he thinks and he ends up breaking Alex's heart-and breaking his own. You will figure out pretty quick what Alex's is hiding, but there is another secret that you will not guess - it will floor you and probably bring tears. Damian is a champ, but he is not fully on board. I thought first Alex was just over reacting but as the story unfolded Damian was there but he wasn't fully vested in Alex. Lots of hot, steamy, juicy sex. Heart breaking moments but those are forgotten when you get to the end. Fantastic Ending.

I  am going to miss Alex & Damian.

I thought Savannah and Tate's story was going to be over after book 2 but then at the end "Bam" shit hits the fan and I'm left craving more. Savannah is a stubborn chick, so much, so I want to slap her. When Savannah turns stubborn and pushes Tate away it takes her awhile to see the error of her ways. When she finally comes around Tate, is already hurt and is not always welcoming her back with open arms. These two go on a crazy roller coaster ride before they put everything behind them and move forward. Some hot scenes- nothing raunchy or too detailed. Fabulous ending.

Drew is an amazing man when he wants to be, but when he is bad he is really, really bad.

He acts first and never asks questions causing these two an enormous about of heart ache. I can not say Emma is much better all could have been avoided if she was not so scared to tell Drew. Things get out of hand, and it is difficult to see a future for their relationship. Lucky for these two they are stubborn and when they want something they go after it- just might take them a bit to get off their butts. There are a lot of funny moments as well taking us on an emotional roller coaster.  Emma Chase's writing style is like no other forcing me to read this book in one sitting. Lot's of hot, juicy, amazing sex. Fabulous ending.

I can't wait for "Tamed"- we get Dee Dee in all her glory July 15th.

Dylan is not described as drop dead gorgeous like most rock stars are, but he is hot in his own way making this rock love story that much better. Dylan's choice of girls can be described as a bad 80's groupie. When Renee comes crashing into him, he is not all that nice to her. I got no clear vision of Renee; however I can only assume she is beautiful because she looks nothing like his typical type. This is not a long book, but there is a lot going one. Renee is still dealing with her past betrayal, and when she has it put behind her it comes crashing back into her life tearing her and Dylan apart. Renee does not fight to hard to make things right with Dylan, it takes another blast from her past to get her on the right track. 

No sex scenes- it is implied but not described. Fabulous ending.

Brandon you could say was just as naive since he only saw what he wanted to but the way he treated Katie after the blow up was rather cruel. Make sure you have installment 2 ready to go because you will want to dive in with the cliff hanger ending your left with. Installment two has a few past tense moments but now Katie is finding out what she's up against in being in Brandon's life again and it's not looking good. Just when she tries to move on Brandon sucks her back in. I am not sure what Brandon's game is but he is sweet then kind of cruel to Katie. Katie still has a secret that she needs to get off her chest with her new boyfriend. This leads to another crazy cliffhanger ending so now make sure you have installment 3 ready to go! Now installment 3 is all about putting everything together. Brandon is kind of a creepy stalker but I think his head was on right and he did a very very noble thing when it came to Katie. Now he needs to make sure she's ready for a life with him. Lots of hot juicy sex throughout all the installments. Quick, Sexy, Beautiful, heart breaking Romance story.

Amazing series. This installment was sad, exciting & a little frustrating.  The most frustrating part was Sienna's lack of being forthcoming with Harrison - I knew she had some reversions, but I do not  know how she held on to her secret for so long. Harrison & Sienna need to figure out how they are going to make it work now that the season is over. Things get crazy and a little hairy. Lots and Lots of hot steamy juicy sex.  Fabulous ending!

When Emily finds this out he doesn't put up much of a fight when she kicks him to the curb but he seems to be not doing so well nonetheless. Emily get a surprise while home for a break. Things are just out of control after the break Emily's head is all over the place as well as her libido. Johnathan is headed down the wrong path and Emily needs to help save him. 

Not a cliff hanger end but there is unfinished business!

This is the first book I read in "The Assassins Series" and all the couples in the previous books make an appearance in this book but it didn't ruin the other books for me so I will go back and read the first 3. 

These 2 are Novella's in the series 3.5 & 3.6

The sex happens pretty quick and nothing is detailed but things about that night come out throughout the book as that night is what starts Erik & Piper's love story. Erik well he is a prick and is not the sweetest guy to Piper. Lucky for him Piper can see through his bullshit. I think I wanted to jump through my e-reader and beat his ass the first half or more of the book.  Piper has a few issues but she is consistence with her feels for Erik. A few hot steamy sex scenes. Fabulous Story, Excellent ending.
