Beau Diesel…He was my “one”. My one that I would sacrifice everything for. My one that I wanted to be with until I took my final breath. My one that completed me.
I wanted him. I needed him. But he was off limits. I knew this, but the risk of consequences didn’t outweigh the depth of my desire.
So, I fought for our love.
But, I wasn’t Beau’s “one”.
So, he fought against our love.
He fought so hard, eventually I had to give up. I had to admit defeat.
But, that’s the thing about love – when you’re down and out, true love wins. It prevails…and it raises you up.

*************
The book started off strong. Harlow has been in love with beau since she was a kid. When they finally get together, he humps her and dumps her. Harlow avoids him throughout the years but when she finally crosses his path again she is weak for him and lets him have her only to be walked away from again. This goes on for a bit until beau comes to his senses. Things get dangerous, and Harlow is at the center if it. Lots of hot juicy sex. I just didn't fall in love with the characters - there was something lacking for me and some parts struck me as cheesy. I think Harlow forgave Beau way to easily.
Ending was Good.
