After moving from stuffy Washington D.C. to laid back San Diego, Samantha Smith hopes to shed her troubled past and reinvent herself as a freshman at San Diego University.

Her parents are pressuring her to major in Accounting, because it’s the safe thing to do. But Samantha really wants to try something more adventurous, and secretly dreams of ditching the business major to study Art instead.

When she crosses paths with a handsome tattoo-clad bad boy, her life is turned upside down, and Samantha finds herself with more adventure than she ever dreamed possible.

This book started off strong but then kind of got annoying. Adonis and Sam were the main couple and were supposed to be together despite all the drama in between. Adonis was with other women but never really seemed like it was a mistake or that he was doing it to push Sam away- he wasn't cheating but usually there's this strong attraction with the main couple but I didn't get that in this book. As for Sam she has a bushel of issues but she falls for Adonis right away- he is devasting handsome after all. Sam is beautiful but she doesn't see it and when Adonis or any other man tells her this she doesn't believe them. This turns into a daily thing about how beautiful she is and how much she doesn't believe it. Adonis has his own pain and when he finally tells Sam about it he cries - not that I'm against sensitive men but it was out of character. So you might ask why I kept reading? well Sam was holding back a secret and I had to know what it was! It turned out to be a pretty good secret but way she dealt with it was becoming an emo kid when she was in high school- seriously? just odd if you ask me. The sexish scene was pretty good. The ending was bad nothing was tied up with Adonis and Sam.
