The book starts out with Kori and Blakes last moments but then takes us through some of their time together not too much since they only had a short time together. Kori is heartbroken when she comes back home, but slowly with the help of  her best friend she comes out of her shell. When she does, she runs into her first love who also tore her heart to shreds, Reed. Kori doesn't want to talk to him or see him she is still angry after all this time. Reed has always loved Kori and now that she's back he is determined to be her friend and be there for her. She finally breaks down and lets Reed in. Things are a slow go with these two but once she sees the bond her sons forms with him, there's no denying she still very much loves him. There's some bumps in the road, but they get over them. Hot steamy sex scenes - nothing too raunchy. Fabulous ending.
