Jax & Riley got to safety but from there things never got back to the way they were.
Riley knew Jax's was struggling with what happened, and she did everything she could to be there and support him. There was never a doubt that they loved each other but in the end love wasn't enough. Jax did what he had to do to protect Riley but in the end it just ended up hurting both of them. Now Jax has finally figured out that being apart hurts worse that fighting for their future. He has a task ahead of him trying to win her back. No hot sex in this one. Fabulous ending.
