I don't feel much love for any of the characters in this installment. I am not sure if Grey likes Maddie or what is really up with him- I know he like's her in his bed but that's about it. Maddie took Grey's help for her business but now she's not happy with what she does. Grey likes to call the shots in Maddie's business since he's the money man and is successful at running business but this makes her mad. So I'm not sure what to think after this installment beside I don't really like either Maddie or Grey but mostly that Maddie is a brat. Some hot, steamy sex scenes.

 I have heard nothing but rave reviews about this book so I went into it with high expectations. I wasn't disappointed! Hannah is artsy and kind of on the nerdy side but boy oh boy does she have the hots for a hunky football player. She has no clue on how to get him to notice her. When Garrett accidentally bumps into Hannah he not only realizes she is the key to him passing the class but she's beautiful. He can't believe he never saw her before now. No matter how pretty she is he needs her. He has his work cut out for him trying to get her to agree to help him. Once he figures out what she wants he pounces. As their time together grows into a friendship the attraction gets stronger. One thing leads to another and they have taken things to the next level but Hannah knows Garrett's focus is Hockey and he doesn't do girlfriends. Garrett needs to figure out what he wants and fast. Outside influences reek havoc on their relationship but luckly Garrett doesn't give up easily. Hot steamy sex scenes. Fabulous ending. Can't wait to dive into the next book "The Mistake".

Melanie is one funny chick. When her and Jameson meet for the first time it's hot but quickly they realize that it can go nowhere. Melanie gets intrenched in Jameson's family and it may be torture to be around each other but it's more painful to be away. It's a situation that it's as simple as just being together. When the path is finally clear and the all lights are green it's Jameson that is holding back but Melanie doesn't know why. It's a tangled mess that could have easily been avoided but I think one of the Hayse brothers likes to make things difficult when he can. There is danger lurking and Melanie is caught in the middle. There is a lot of sexual tension throughout the book and one hot sex scene- nothing too detailed or over the top. The ending was fantastic but the danger that is out there never gets resolved. 

EXCERPT:

“You don’t like it,” he says quietly. I don’t miss the disappointment in his voice. I could throw myself at him, wrap my arms around his neck, and never let go. I could climb him like he’s a goddamn tree and I’m a monkey in need of a banana. I could kiss him like my life depends on it— my heart certainly does— and I could regret never telling him any of this if I don’t say it right now. I could tell him every stupid fucking feeling I’m having, and how much this beautiful gold necklace means to me. I could do all of this, but at the end of it, he still wouldn’t be mine. He would still be my friend— assuming I didn’t scare him off— and if he let me do all of this he wouldn’t be the guy I think he is. He wouldn’t be the man I’ve built up in my head as being strong and courageous and worth every painful moment I spend away from him knowing he’s with her and every trying moment I spend with him knowing he’s not mine.

I let the silence hang between us, as uncomfortable as it is, and focus on breathing steadily so he doesn’t know everything that this stupid beautiful necklace means to me.

“I didn’t—,” he begins. I cut him off because after the long stretch of silence it’s all I can do not to lose my shit over a stupid beautiful necklace from a fucking asshole who I think I’m falling in love with.

“A wishbone?” I ask.

“It’s stupid,” he says and reaches for the box. I pull it away from him, cradling it to my chest. “They’re supposed to be symbolic or something. Like you wish on ‘em and… you wish for something you want.” He’s uncomfortable trying to explain it. I know the symbolism behind a wishbone, but I had to hear his explanation.

He wants me to have what I want.

I have everything I want except for one thing: him.

I have read all the books in this series except "Jet" and that is the one that I would assume has a lot of Asa in it since it's about Asa's sister. Not to mention I have read them all out of order. With all that said I throughly enjoy each of the books in the series even know I read them out of order. 

I love Asa- his twang & over all bad boy status is Hot. He has come a long ways from his bad boy days but he just can't see the good in himself. Royal has some things to figure out but at the beginning she is in self destruction mode but lucky for her Asa is there to make sure she stays safe. There is no question Royal wants Asa but he keeps turning her down and she can't figure out why. Eventually she wears him down and things slowly progress for them. Just when they think they might have a future something gets in the way. For the first time in Asa's life he is putting someone else happiness before his. It's an impossible situation that really has little hope of turning around but there's one offer on the table but can't Royal live with it? The sex scenes were hot hot hot. Fantastic ending.

Zack

I have to say hands down I LOVE Kate!! She is a nerdy, funny, beautiful woman who speaks her mind and doesn't let anyone push her around. I have read all the books in this series thus far - you don't have to read them in order to enjoy this one however you will get some insight on Zack's relationship with Gina. The emotional baggage Zack carries around is heart breaking but Kate is the only one that has been able to get through to him. Everytime she thinks she's making progress he just throws his walls up the next day. Kate goes into Zack's bed knowing full and well things may not end how she hopes but he's a risk she's willing to take. Zack is pretty stubborn about what he thinks he can't offer a woman but lucky for him he has some great friends to help him open his eyes. Hot, steamy sex scenes. Fabulous ending.
