Toxic

ebook erotica New Release

“You’re an addiction I can’t overcome, no matter how hard I try.” – Rook Tyler

His life consists of his best friend, Jack Daniels, his favorite drug of choice and women. Rook Tyler lives for performing at night and wasting the rest of his days washing away the pain from his childhood so he doesn’t have to feel anything...ever. The only people he trusts are his band mates from Shattered Souls and he wants to keep it that way. His life was completely under control and simple until he heard the voice of Maisy Madison filter through The Tavern speakers.

Growing up in the foster care system with her two other band mates from Twisted Perfection, Maisy finds herself doing pretty much anything to get her and her band noticed but nothing seems to be working. One lucky night, Shattered Souls, the most popular band in the country, decides to show up at their little concert and luckily signs them on the spot. But the arena venues and massive amount of fans isn’t what has Maisy shaking in her heels. It’s the deep baritone voice of Rook Tyler that has haunted her dreams for years which has her wondering if she can actually go through with the tour.

The force is almost too strong. He can feel her everywhere he goes and no matter how much he tries to resist her, he finds himself gravitating towards Maisy, wanting to hold her, kiss her and touch her. He knows he shouldn’t get involved. He knows no matter what, he will end up hurting her but he can’t help it, his soul is connected to hers and the pull is too strong for him to resist.

Rook warned her time and time again but she doesn’t listen, she doesn’t want to listen. She needs him and she doesn’t care that she knows deep down in her heart that their relationship is going to end in disaster. She refuses to acknowledge that no matter what they do, their love is toxic.

The description of this book we think we are getting Rook and Maisy's love story, but we get so much more it is mind blowing. This book is told from every character's POV.
Here's the breakdown of characters. There's the band "Shattered Souls" who are big time they consist of Rook, Cruz, Landon, Gray plus there's Grey's long time girlfriend Quinn. The other band is "Twisted Perfection", which consists of Maisy, Willow and Kaid.
Rook and Maisy take us on an emotional roller coaster. They are instantly drawn to each other but fight it. Once they finally give in what a mess, wonderful mess it turns out to be. They both have a truckload of baggage, and as for relationships go neither of them have ever had one. There's a whole other mess with Gray, Quinn, Willow and Landon. Cruz is the only one that does not get into a hot mess.
Lots of hot, steamy, spicy, juicy sex. The ending is heartbreaking.

Next book "Fame" is due out in the fall.

ebook erotica review high school students

Seventeen-year-old Isis Blake hasn’t fallen in love in three years, nine weeks, and five days, and after what happened last time, she intends to keep it that way. All the girls in her new school want one thing – Jack Hunter, the Ice Prince of East Summit High. Hot as an Armani ad, smart enough to get into Yale, and colder than the Arctic, Jack Hunter’s never gone out with anyone. Sure, people have seen him downtown with beautiful women, but he’s never given high school girls the time of day. Until Isis punches him in the face.

Jack’s met his match. Suddenly everything is a game.

The goal: Make the other beg for mercy.

The game board: East Summit High.

The reward: Something neither of them expected.

Excerpt

“I paid the fee, if that’s what you’re here about,” Madison starts. Jack looks to her, smile flashing on for a moment.

“Let me talk to her. Give me one second.”

“Okay,” Madison giggles. He grabs my elbow and pulls me in the other direction.

“Is that how you kissed me?” I ask, nearly tripping as he pulls me along. “Golly gee, it looks kind of mildly fucking embarrassing! No wonder up my appointments - ”

“Whoa, I think you overestimate me, shitlord. Last time I checked all I did was be in the wrong place at the right time. I saw you and had to - ”

“Stalk me.”

“ - delicately approach you. In a sideways manner. From behind. Without being seen at all. For ten minutes.”

“Why are you even out? I thought you were sick.”

“I was. See, it’s this thing called an immune system -”

He holds up his hand and rubs his eyes. “Okay, stop. Shut all systems down and just. Stop. Talking.”

“Why?”

“It’s annoying.”

“That’s never stopped me before!”

“Why did you follow me?”

“I was…curious?”

He looks down at the jar of frosting I clutch in my hands. “Are you eating that out of the can?”

“Are you the king of stupid questions?” I fire back. “Of course I am! Frosting is the ambrosia of the gods. God, if you’re into that religious thing. Are you religious? Somehow I get the feeling the only church you’d join is the church of self-worship. Your body is your temple. Work it, boy.”

“What are you saying?” He snarls.

“You’re blabbering!”

“At least I’m not whoring!”

"I'm working right now, okay? I’m getting paid. So you need to just piss off and go to whatever immature party you were going to in the first place.”

“How’d you know I’m going to a party?”

“The receipt for red plastic cups sticking out of your jacket. Your eyeliner. Girls don’t make eyeliner wings that big unless they plan on drinking.”

“Touché. You’re smarter than I gave you credit for.”

“And you’re far more annoying than I first suspected. If I’d known you’d stalk me like all the others, I never would’ve kissed you, even as payback.”

“Seriously, you kiss everyone like that though! It was nothing special.”

“Exactly. It was nothing special. So back off and leave me alone.”

I stayed up all night and read this book in one sitting it's that good!
It's a high school setting and there is no sex but I hope that doesn't detour any of you from reading it.
The banter between Isis & Jack is out of this world. Isis is Hilarious & the things that come out of her mouth is probably what wouldn't let me put the book down because I wanted to know what she was going to say next. Isis has gone through some bad stuff for a teenage girl. She seems to tell is like it is & she meets her match in Jack Hunter. Jack is too good looking for his own good. He is the "Ice Prince" all cold & unemotional. Jack has had bad stuff happen to him as well making him the way he is. Isis's attitude is melting the "Ice Prince" but things are a mess to say the least. Cliff Hanger ending. 2 more books in the series.

Quotes:

"I wake up in Satan's buttonhole. Everything is white-white walls, white beds, white light. Or Narnia. It could be Narnia. Did I die and go to Narnia? Because that would be rad. But then I see the IV attached to my arm and hear the steady 'beep-beep' of my heart monitor and all hope deflates out of me quickly. Nope. Satan's buttonhole, aka a hospital."

"War? No, I'm not fighting anybody. Well, I have to fight on a daily basis not to marry myself, but no. I'm not at war with anybody."
